This is a really great, original and unmolested dessert find truck. A 1941 Chevy Deluxe step side pick up. Under the hood is nice and original, the dizzy still has the paper tag inside from when it was new.
We have had the engine running, it's very quiet and has good oil pressure. The inner belly pan that fits around the engine is still there, most of the time these have been removed so that you can get to everything. The radiator is still the honeycomb core pattern which holds water. Fitted with a four speed, floor change gear box, the type with the hand brake mounted to it.
All of the running gear seems to be pretty much complete and original. As it has been stood for such a long time all of the usual things will need refreshing, hoses, seals, brakes, etc.
The wheels fitted are GMC ones as the wheels were a mismatch.
The body is nice and original with signs of older dent repairs on the wings, this truck is about 99% rust free.
The rer bumper is a heavy duty one which was a popular extra in it's day. The back is virtually dent free and even the tail gate is straight. The wooden bed floor has long since rotted away.
Inside the cab the removable floor has a very slight hole in it but other than that near perfect. The dash is complete it has had a hole cut in it to mount the radio.
The side lights are missing as are the rear light assemblies.
So to round up a really great original truck, freshly imported from California, all duties paid and US title included.
Remeber you can buy a shiny paint job but you can't fake the originality of this truck!
